 nicht natürlich, kein Teddy und ein lustiges Kerlchen soll er sein... check

möglichst beweglich soll er sein.... check

(er kann sogar die einzelnen Finger bewegen)

(he can even move his fingers)

 ähmmm... sorry... Manieren hat er leider noch keine

äähhhhmm.... sorry...  unfortunately, he has no manners

 große blaue Kulleraugen soll er haben, wie meine Tochter... check

 und es soll ein Mädchen werden... che... nö... hier habe ich dann leider versagt!

 aber Nick hat sich über sein Valentinsgeschenk trotzdem sehr gefreut!

Glückskäfer / Lucky bug?

At first: I found no word to translate a "Glückskäfer" In Germany we call Ladybugs "Glückskäfer" (lucky bug or lucky charm bug) too... because some people think ladybugs are lucky charms... I found no word to translate this in English, so I would call it "Lucky bug" and hope you´ll understand what I mean  ;-)

Nick, der erste Schwarm meiner Tochter nennt sie immer "sein kleines Glückskäferchen" denn er sagt, sein Leben ist so viel besser und glücklicher geworden seit er sie kennt...

*seufz* hach... die erste Schwärmerei... könnt ihr euch noch an eure erinnern?

Jedenfalls... sagte meine Tochter zu mir "Mama, mach mir bitte ein Glückskäferchen als Geschenk für Nick zum Valentinstag"

Nick, my daughters first heartthrob calls her "his little lucky bug" because, so he said, his live ist so much better and luckier since he meet her...

*sigh* the first heartthrob.... do you still remember yours?

Whatever... my daughter said to me: "Mummy please make a lucky bug for me as a Valentines day present for Nick"

"Okay" sagte ich "Ich werde versuchen irgendetwas hinzukriegen!"

"Okay" I said "I´ll try to make something"

Irgendetwas? Oh nein, meine Tochter weiß genau was sie will... "er soll klein sein, damit er ihn überall mit hinnehmen kann aber nicht ZU klein" sagte sie... "Er soll nicht natürlich aussehen, aber auch kein Teddy sondern einfach möglichst lustig" sagte sie... "wenn möglich sollte er beweglich sein" sagte sie... "Welche Sorte Käfer es wird überlasse ich dir du kannst auch eine neue Rasse erfinden, aber vielleicht kann es blaue Augen haben wie ich und wenn möglich sollte es ein Käfermädchen sein"

"Puh... Das sind aber ziemlich hohe Erwartungen die du da an mich und meine Hände hast" sagte ich...

"Ach Blödsinn... Wenn das jemand schafft, dann MEINE Mama... du machst das schon. Du bist einfach die Beste" sagte sie...

 Something? Oh no, my daughter knows exactly what she wants... "it should be small so that Nick can take it allways with him, but not TO small" she said... "It don´t should look lifelike but it should not be a teddy too, it should be simply funny" she said... "If it is possible it should be movable" she said... "It is not important which art of beetle it is it can be a fantasy bug, but maybe it can have blue eyes like me and if it is possible it should be a bug girl" she said

"Phew... these are many expectations you have at me and my hands" I said...

"Nonsense" she said "If anyone can do this, than it is MY mom... I know you can do it! You´re simply the best"

Es wurde also mal wieder Zeit mit der Modelliermasse rumzuspielen...
Was meint ihr? Habe ich es geschafft alle Wünsche meiner Tochter zu erfüllen?
Hat Nick seinen Glückskäfer von seinem Glückskäferchen zum Valentinstag bekommen?
Wie ihr seht, ist der erste Versuch gescheitert...

Dieser nette kleine Kerl

ist schon seit einer Weile bei mir

is by me since a while

Er kam zu Fuß

He came by feet

von weit weit weg

Sein Name ist "Leopold"

His name is "Leopold"

und er sucht ein neues Zuhause

and he´s looking for a new home

Leopold ist 25 groß und beweglich

Leopold is 25cm (9,8 inch) tall and movable

 Er ist nicht sehr anspruchsvoll und isst alles was die Natur ihm bietet

He is not very demanding. He eats whatever mother nature gives him

Ich hoffe er gefällt euch

eine new Maus! / a new mouse!

Es wurde mal wieder Zeit für eine neue Maus

It was time again fo a new mouse

eine strickende Maus

a knitting mouse

Ich glaube sie strickt eine warme Decke für ihr ungeborenes Baby

I think she´s knitting a warm blanket for her unborn baby

Es wird bald noch mehr neue Mäuse geben, denn ich habe zur Zeit sooo viele Mäuseideen im Kopf!

Soon there will be more new mice, because this time are sooooo much mice ideas in my head!

Eine schöne Kulisse/ a beautiful scenery

Schon seit langer Zeit wollte ich mal für die Fotos meiner kleinen Bären und Mäuse einige schöne Hintergrund- Kulissen machen und ENDLICH habe ich damit mal angefangen.

Da meine Bären ja nur 6,5cm groß sind 

und die Mäuse sogar noch kleiner sind, brauchte ich den Hintergrund etwa im Maßstab 1:24

Für alle die das nicht so genau kennen: das ist halb so groß, wie ein "normales" Puppenhaus

 For a long time I wanted to do for the photos of my little bears and mice some beautiful background scenery and FINALLY I started doing it.
  Because my bears are only 6.5cm in size
and the mice are even smaller, I needed the background about 1:24 scale
For those who do not know exactly what this is: this is half as large as a "normal" Dollhouse

Ich beschloss ein Haus zu bauen, aber da das Haus ja nicht bewohnt werden soll, reichte es völlig, dass es AUSSIEHT wie ein Haus... und ein einfaches Pappkartonmodell für das ich nicht sägen, schleifen usw musste war auch genug.

 I decided to build a house, but since the house so not to be inhabited, it passed completely that it LOOKS like a house ... and a simple cardboard model for that I don´t have to sawing, grinding, etc had to be enough.

Ich hatte an dieser Arbeit mal wieder so viel Spaß, dass ich leider vergessen habe W.I.P. Fotos zu schießen

aber hier seht ihr, wie das Haus mit einem unfertigem Dach ausgesehen hat

 I had so much fun in that work again, that I forgot to take work in progress pictures
but here you can see how the house looked like with a unfinished roof

  So in etwa sieht es dann aus, wenn ein Pippibär davor steht

für Nemus und Fluci ist es viel zu klein (was die Beiden natürlich nicht davon abgehalten hat trotzem mal vorbei zu schauen)

It is much to smal for Nemus und Fluttercino (which of course has not stopped the two still to come by)

Inzwischen ist das Dach fertig

In between time the roof is finished

Nun fehlt noch etwas Dekoration wie Blumen, eine Gartenbank und ????

 Now still missing something decoration, such as flowers, garden bench and ????

Habt ihr noch Ideen was die Pippibären vor ihrem Haus haben sollten??

Neues und Bestelltes 2 / News and orders 2

Wie bereits angekündigt hatte ich ja noch zwei weitere Kundenaufträge

eine Maus, die krank im Bett liegen sollte... mit Kopfverband und Fieberthermometer im Mund

 As previously announced, I still had two more customer orders
a mouse that was sick in bed ... with head bandage and thermometer in the mouth

So sieht sie dann aus, wenn sie aufgedeckt ist. Das Bett, Kissen und Decke macht meine Kundin ihr selbst

 This is how it looks like when it is uncovered. The bed, pillow and blanket my costumer makes itself

Danach war noch ein Schutzengelbärchen bestellt. 

 After this a guardian angel bear was ordered.

und eine neue Maus für den Etsy-Shop ist auch schon entstanden

and a new mouse for the Etsy shop is already created

 der Kleine bringt schon einen Frühlingsboten mit (was vermutlich daran liegt, dass ich die Nase vom Winter ziemlich voll habe und mich schon sehr nach Frühling sehne)

the little guy already brings a harbinger of spring with (which it probably is, that I pretty full'm sick of winter and am dying a lot to Spring)

Meine Kundin hat sich über ihre Valentinsbären und die Mühe die ich mir damit gemacht habe, so gefreut, dass sie mir als Dankeschön diese beiden Perlentiere geschickt hat.

Ein schwarz/weißer Affe und ein kleines Herz die sie selbst gemacht hat (Nemus hat sich die natürlich mal wieder gleich unter den Nagel gerissen, weil sie in seiner Größe sind)

My ccustomer was so happy about their Valentine Bears, that she sent me as a "thank you present" these two figures about pearls..
A black / white monkey and a small heart. She has made the figures itself (Nemus of course once again has taked it for hisself because they are in his size)

Wir haben mal wieder ein paar Neuzugänge bei der Pippibärenbande zu zeigen

Der kleine "Hero" hat bereits ein neues Zuhause gefunden
We have to show some new critters
Little "hero" did find a new home in between time

Diese Maus ist nur 4,5cm und somit noch kleiner als unsere "normalen" Mäuse
This mouse ist jus 4,5cm and that´s even a bit smaller than our "normal" mice

Sie liebt Seelöwen und nimmt ihr Nachziehtier überall hin mit
She loves sea lion and she tooks her pull toy everywhere she goes

Der kleine "Bandit" lag schon eine ganze Weile unfertig in meinem Nähkorb
The little "Bandit" had to wait a long time unfinished in my sewing basket

aber jetzt hat er es endlich geschafft
"Bandit" ist 6,5cm
 but now he has finally managed it
 "Bandit" is 6,5cm

und gestern ist Melli mal wieder ein größerer Minibär von der Nadel gehüpft...
 and yesterday a larger Minibär is once again jumped from Mellis needle ...

"Bamboo" ist 9,5cm groß und sein größter Traum ist es, mal ein eigenes 1:12 Haus zu haben
 "Bamboo" is 9.5 cm tall and his greatest dream is to have a private house in 1:12 someday

Er spart auch schon ganz fleißig um sich mal ein Haus kaufen zu können, falls ihn niemand adoptiert der ein 1:12 Haus für ihn hat
He also saves quite diligently his money to buy a house somedays if no one adopted him who has a 1:12 home for him

Das war es auch schon wieder an Neuigkeiten, aber Melli ist zur Zeit krank genug um dieses Jahr wahrscheinlich nicht mehr arbeiten zu können

und dadurch wird sie gaaaanz viel Zeit für neue Bären, Mäuse, Figuren und andere nicht Basteleien haben, die nicht körperlich anstrengend sind...

und bald ist es ja auch schon wieder so weit, dass es mit unserer Weihnachtswerkstatt weiter geht...

aber in Weihnachtsstimmung ist Melli dieses Jahr komischer Weise noch gar nicht...
 That's all in news so far, but Melli is currently sick enough that she probably will not be able to work this year anymore
and thus she will have sooooo much time for new bears, mice, and other figures which craftings are not physically demanding ...
and soon it's already time that we continue with our Christmas Workshop ... 
but it is strange, but till now Melli is not in the Christmas spirit this year
